Do social conservatives realize they are some of the most Un-American people around?

I consider myself to be a conservative except on social issues, where I am very liberal. Social conservatives tout an American flag while spewing hatred, phobia and degradation. This is supposed to be a nation of non persecution and freedom of religion..not Creationists and Evangelical gay bashers.
