Does my friend still care about our friendship (PLEASE READ)?

I've gone through the exact same experience when my childhood friend thought i was when I was only trying to bring back our friendship. I asked him to hang out at least a billion times but he making up some lame reason why he can't. I finally realized he was a jerk and gave up. After a couple of months he called me and apologized. After that we were cool. I think you should just ignore him for a couple of months. If he calls or texts you and asks to hang out or something, then you guys are cool. If he doesn't, he's a jerk and you should probably get a new friend. Hope this helped.
