I really think your overreacting, if he's not talking to you at all thats a different story. It doesn't really seem like he's avoiding you. This is pretty difficult whether he wants to be friends or more, but if i were to guess its more likely yes than it is no. Things like going to the fair together, and texting each other all day, is something a person who likes the other one would do. If you want to just ask a third party (another person) to ask him if he likes you.
