My UGG boot ripped at the seam?

So I got out of P.E and I was putting my boot back on and all of a sudden I hear a tear at the seam, and it turns out it was a small tear :( well my mom sewed it back together, slightly but my question is, is it eligible to be replaced under warranty? I bought the boots in September & I still own the receipt.
