Is Norway safe for American children?

I have to go to Norway for one year and I am planning to have my family with me. I never travel to Europe with all this terrorism and economic collapse I know that no country is blessed like America but I heard good words about Norway it is not that bad. However Norway is not good for American families with values and Evangelical principles. I am looking for an American school for my children. Can I find American restaurants in Norway? WalMart or listen to the American movies and Fox News? I know that there is a community of American expats but not in the place where I am going. I heard that Norwegian children have no American family values and women have no respect for men, gays get married and there is rampant moral corruption. How can I keep my children safe? I don't want them to miss school for the season otherwise I have to leave my wife and two children behind for a whole year. God bless.
