Do you think this is rather odd for a singing lesson?

so, my singing teacher says that if you lay down, you can sing certain vowels better. so then he told me to bring a towel next week, I'm going to lie on the floor. I mean, I'm not saying he's going to try anything, but still. isn't that a little weird?
