Date with a long time crush?

i have a guy friend, we really like each other but we never went out/got together. its been a platonic love really. we really like each other,and we're going to different colleges and probably gonna see each other for winter break. I dont know how/where to meet up with him. i wanna keep him interested in me, i feel i have tough competition, with though college girls always being on him, lol.
