it is def nessasary to preorder lik i kno that borders wont take anymore preorders and the people without them have to wait lik an hr while everyone else gets them first. also it is possible to only come for the book not the party u just come around midnight wait for ur turn for the book and get out but it might take more than ten min to get ur book
